HOPE Philippines ran a logo design contest on Facebook from July 27, 2022 to August 10, 2022, receiving a total of 200 submissions. The project team conducted three levels of screening to determine the winning entry. The winner received the highest average score in terms of relevance, originality, creativity and impact, and was awarded a cash prize of Php 10,000 and a certificate of recognition. The top four finalists also received certificates of recognition.
In their entries, the finalists highlighted the themes of inclusivity, hope, shared responsibility among community members, promoting the PrEP pill, and the Philippines/Filipinos. The winning logo, created by Aira Shane Paculba, captured HOPE Philippines’ goal of ending HIV transmission with the use of elements such as the red ribbon for HIV, the blue PrEP pill, and a community rallying behind a person living with HIV and AIDS. The logo was refined and used as the basis for creating a brand identity guide for HOPE Philippines and in promoting the project’s activities.
The logo was refined to include community members in rainbow colors representing the key populations who can be co-creators in developing solutions to improve access to the initial and sustained use of PrEP. The new logo is used as the basis for creating a brand identity guide for HOPE Philippines and in promoting the project’s activities.
